Senior Tour Guide/All Rounder

LOCATION:
Van Lee Rd, between Mount Surprise & Georgetown off the Gulf Development Rd
ROSTER:
A rotating roster with allocated days onsite (accommodation provided), and break periods
offsite. The roster may change according to tourism seasonality, extraordinary groups or other circumstances.
TRANSPORT:
Transport is provided by Ewamian Limited however Guides may arrange their own
transport to and from Talaroo.
OTHER:
Identified role. To perform this role it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

Ranger Coordinator
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Temporary - Full Time to 30 June 2026
HOURS:
Standard Roster – nine (9) days on/five (5) days off roster (Monday to Tuesday)
Standard Hours – 7.00am to 5.00pm. Overtime may be required to meet operational requirements
AWARD AND PAY RATE:
Miscellaneous Award, Level 4

Talaroo Station
ABOUT EWAMIAN LIMITED AND THE RANGER PROGRAM:
The Ewamian Rangers are employed by the Ewamian Limited and funded through various funding programs administered by the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI), the National Indigenous Affairs Agency (NIAA) IPA Funding Program and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) IPA Funding Program.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The goal of the Funding Programs is the effective and culturally appropriate management of the lands and waters of the Ewamian People. Ewamian Limited regards the successful implementation of the Funding Programs as essential for the future well-being of Ewamian People’s traditional country.
