Welcome to Ewamian People Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC

The traditional Ewamian lands lie primarily in the upper Gilbert and Einasleigh River catchments within Etheridge Shire. Our native title determination covers over 26,000 km2.

 

The Ewamian People Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (EPAC) is the corporate entity established by the Ewamian People holding their native title rights and interests since their determination in 2013. EPAC represents the Ewamian People for all matters relating to native title and cultural heritage.​

native title

The Ewamian People have had native title determined on much of their Country. Native Title is a recognition by the Australian Government of the rights that we have in country, these are based on the rights that we had before Europeans colonised our land.

ranger program

Indigenous rangers deliver conservation outcomes that are based on the traditional knowledge of country and are also informed by non-Indigenous scientific research and best practice in managing country.

TALAROO

Talaroo is managed as an Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) which is a self-declared area that Traditional Owners agree to manage for the protection of natural and cultural values
